Children’s chess classes in Tashkent 8
About this list
These are the academies whose own pages, or a press feature about them, say plainly that they teach children. SkyChess splits its classes by age, from six to twelve and from thirteen to seventeen, with a monthly fee for each group, in every Tashkent branch. City Chess teaches small groups two or three times a week and holds its own numbered rapid tournaments, so its pupils have a series of their own to enter.
Countergambit appears in a magazine round-up of children’s sections and organises qualifying tournaments for sports categories. Katta Tanaffus is a network of children’s centres that offers chess among other out-of-school sports, and Geniuses is a children’s learning centre where chess is one course among several; both invite parents to a trial lesson, and Geniuses suggests starting at four or five. Other academies in the wider list may teach children too; they appear here once a page says so.
